Garlic Butter Baked Salmon

Salmon topped with butter, garlic, parmesan and lemon and baked to perfection!
ingredients
- 1 1/2 pound salmon fillet (or trout)
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened or melted
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano (or italian seasoning)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (optional)
directions
- Place the salmon on a baking sheet, optionally lined with foil or parchment paper.
- Mix the butter, garlic, parmesan, lemon juice, italian seasoning, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, and spread over the salmon.
- Bake in a preheated 400F/200C oven until the salmon is cooked through and the top is golden brown and bubbling, about 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle on the parsley and enjoy!
Option: Top with panko breadcrumbs.
Option: Add the parsley to the butter mixture.
Option: Change up the herbs. (Dill works really well!)
