The top player in the four-wheel segment, Hyundai, is all set to reveal its futuristic EV at the upcoming Munich motor show. The model is likely to be named as Ioniq 2. The event will kickstart on September 9 and will remain operational till September 14, 2025. It will take place at the Messe München exhibition centre and in the city center of Munich.
It has been reported that the upcoming offering from the brand will be a small EV. It will compete against some of the tech-loaded models in the international market, such as Renault 4, Skoda Epiq and upcoming Kia EV2.
Here’s What To Expect
The reports say that the Ioniq 2 might fall in an affordable price range, and is expected to be the company’s Bayon-sized model. Ahead of the official release, the model has been spied during the testing phase, revealing some of the important details and key features.
According to the spy images, the all-new Ioniq 2 will share a similar size to the India-bound Bayon. It is expected to hit the market with an aggressive style statement, featuring a raised and raked roofline with Ioniq 6-inspired front facia.
Style Details
It will get a signature style, a fully LED headlight setup, integrated DRLs with a trending connected light bar at both ends. On the side, a decent-sized cladding is expected to enhance its overall road presence, while futuristic alloy wheels might level up the driving dynamics.
Moving inside the cabin, the interior is likely to remain decluttered and minimalist at the same time. It will be more tech-focused, and is expected to flaunt Hyundai’s new innovation calls “step change”. This will allow the users to have usability as compared to the current Ioniq line-up.
Top Elements And Battery
The upcoming EV is likely to come with a combined instrument and infotainment display setup, supported by all the wireless car-connect tech. As far as the battery is concerned, the small Hyundai EV might use the 58.3kWh and 81.4kWh battery options. These units might offer a WLTP range figures of 430km and 600km, respectively.
