Pune: New PMPML Bus Service Rolls Into Chakan; Check Routes, Time, And More | Auto News
Last Updated:
The service was officially flagged off near NTB International Limited by Kamal Kacholia, Director at FCI.
Buses will operate every 30 minutes, offering frequent and dependable service.
Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has rolled out a brand-new bus service.
This much-needed initiative will benefit thousands of workers, students, and local residents who have long struggled with poor transport options.
The launch was made possible after continuous efforts by the Federation of Chakan Industries, with Director Kamal Kacholia inaugurating the service near NTB International Limited.
Why Was This Service Needed?
Commuters in Chakan often deal with traffic chaos, broken roads, and a lack of proper transport. Many companies in the area do not offer staff transport, pushing workers to rely on two-wheelers or shared autos. This has led to regular mishaps and a rise in pollution levels.
As reported earlier by Mid-Day, Chakan’s infrastructure was under pressure, and this new service aims to fix just that.
Which Routes Will the New Buses Take?
PMPML has introduced a circular route covering key locations like:
- Ambethan Chowk
- Alandi Phata
- Nighoje Phata
- Mercedes Chowk
- Skoda Gate No. 1
- Sigma Chowk
- HP Chowk
- Bajaj Company
- Mahalunge Kharpadi
- Chakan (returning to Ambethan Chowk)
Another route has been launched between Bhosari and Nighoje village.
When Will the Buses Run?
Buses will operate every 30 minutes, offering frequent and dependable service. In a welcome move towards gender inclusivity, female conductors will be assigned to ensure safety and comfort, especially for women travellers.
